Next-generation Farm Leadership

Through partnership with StrongBase, we host an afterschool program that promotes, educates, and engages middle and high school students in agricultural leadership.  Students learn about numerous types of careers in Agriculture and the integration of modern technology such as the FarmBot, soil sensors and drone technology to address climate change solutions.  Students visit colleges with agricultural pathways, attend the Professional Agricultural Workers Conference at Tuskegee University, and are placed in paid internships as participants in the program.

Farm Apprenticeships & Internships

We support new, beginning, and aspiring farmers and land stewards through our apprenticeship program located on our education, demonstration farm.  Participants can apply to live on the farm or commute 3-4 days per week through either the 6 weeks to 6 months apprenticeship.  Participants will work alongside our farm manager and volunteers to learn and practice seasonal tasks with cultivating produce, chicken, goats and honey bees.  For more information on applying to our apprenticeship program please contact us.

Earth Child Summer Camp

Earth Child Summer Camp is an outdoor Ecology STEAM based adventurous camp for children ages 5-11 (grades K-6), located on our education, demonstration organic farm with vegetable production, forestry, and animal husbandry.  Children will explore natural ecosystems while taking hikes to the creek; engage in creative arts, cultivate the land; learn to use binoculars and go on a birdwatching tour; enjoy cooking with Chef Monique using farm fresh produce; engage in ecology STEM activities with our demonstrative aquaponics site; explore the world of composting, participate in outdoor sporting activities including archery, ziplines, yoga, volleyball and more. These hands-on learning activities are designed to stimulate children’s creativity, math, science, and social skills.

Camp & Learn Series

We uplift intergenerational stories and ways of being in relationship to land.  At Camp & Learn, we gather, connect with ourselves, with nature, and one another while communing with and learning from nature.  Guest can participate in a series of workshops promoting regenerative land stewardship,  participate in guided hikes, or simply relax and reconnect to self through nature.  Each evening a bonfire is held to support our healing and reconnections through storytelling that honors our environmental heritage and perspectives.

Training, Technical Assistance & Field Days

We facilitate experiential learning directly related to land and development on local farms.  We also offer technical assistance and support new and beginning farmers with accessing supportive farm development programs.  Regenerative Education is concerned with both natural and human systems such as educational systems.  We see education as a way to solve historical, present and future problems as it relates to land, power, and community development.
